Four Benefits of Drinking Warm Water

Posted on January 31, 2016 by Melanie Brown

A horrified colleague watched me as I drank a cold glass of water first thing in the morning. He was very shocked! I had no idea why.

“You should be drinking warm water! Especially first thing in the morning!” He went on to mention that the body operates at a normal body temperature of 37˚C or 98.6˚F. Drinking cold water was not helping the body to carry out its functions with these warmer temperatures.

Quite a few people who were in our vicinity and were listening to this conversation, openly agreed.

It seems to me that there is a new practice of drinking warm water first thing in the morning. Caffeine is out the window!
People are beginning to appreciate the advantages of doing so.

Here are 4 reasons to explain the benefits of drinking warm water: -

1. It soothes pain – Warm water is a boost for capillary circulation and reduces any pain by relaxing nerves and muscles.

2. Improves blood flow – Drinking warm water actually promotes good blood circulation.
3. Anti-aging – Warm water eliminates toxins by opening up the pores of the skin. It reduces the damage which can be caused by free radicals. Warm water helps to rejuvenate the skin giving it a healthier appearance and maintains its elasticity.

4. Weight loss – Warm water stimulates the metabolism. Drinking on a regular basis improves the kidney function, regulates blood sugar better and reduces sugar cravings. It’s also great for helping the digestive system at breakfast time.

So, I think drinking warm water is going to become part of my regular routine. Why don’t you give it a try too!
