So, What's So Fab About Shea Butter?

Posted on December 02, 2016 by Melanie Brown

I love Shea Butter. I use it in most of my handmade products. It’s creamy to the touch and produces great results.

It is a beautiful rich butter which is a superb moisturizer and beautifully hydrates your skin.

Shea Butter is known for its benefits for skincare. It is great for dry skin, skin irritations, scarring and conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.

This gorgeous butter is an excellent anti-ager as it is packed with anti-oxidants such as Vitamin E and A. If you want fantastic youthful looking skin, then take a look at this product.

Shea Butter nourishes and revitalizes your skin giving it a healthy and vibrant glow.

Especially around winter, Shea Butter is excellent for enhancing the appearance of your skin which can become ashy and dry due to the cold conditions.

I have created a body butter, Citrus Delight Whipped Body Butter, which has Shea Butter as its main ingredient. This is combined with jojoba oil, coconut oil and vitamin E to produce a rich body butter which leaves your skin feeling soft and luxurious. A little goes a long way.

I love using this straight after a hot bath. As you rub the butter into your skin, it absorbs into the layers of your skin leaving it feeling silky and smooth. This is a beautiful treat after a long tiring day.

Shea Butter To The Rescue!

Posted on July 30, 2015 by Melanie Brown

As some of you know, I am on holiday with my lovely family. We are having a great time although one of my children has been struggling a bit with the heat. Today was 46 degrees and it was really uncomfortable for everyone one as well as her.

She suffers from eczema and I have noticed that on our last couple of visits the heat has really made her itchy.

We have been prescribed creams to help her, but they no longer seem to be of any benefit.

I was so desperate today that I tried one of my body butters and noted that it gave her some relief. It really moisturised her dry skin.

Why? I can only put this down to the shea butter content.

I love to use Shea butter in a lot of my projects. As far as I'm concerned, Shea butter is skin's best friend. It is great at moisturising and leaves the skin feeling silky soft and hydrated. It is therefore no surprise that it has exceptional uses. Here are 10 fantastic uses of Shea Butter:-

  1. It helps to get rid of dry skin.
  2. Skin Rashes.
  3. It is common to see skin peeling after tanning. Shea butter smooths out the unsightly appearance of the skin.
  4. Provides relief in respect of itchy skin.
  5. It can be used after shaving to provide a smooth silky glide.
  6. Shea butter improves the appearance of stretch marks and can aid in the prevention of them.
  7. Helps provide relief with skin problems such as eczema and dermatitis.
  8. Helps with skin damage from heat.
  9. The cold weather can dry out skin. Shea butter restores moisture and nourishes the skin.
  10. Smooths the appearance of blemishes.

So as you can see, you can't go wrong with this natural product which loves your skin.
