What Do You Do To Get Your Energy Boost?

Posted on June 30, 2017 by Melanie Brown

Do you sometimes feel as if you are running around like a headless chicken just to keep up with everyone and everything?

You can get so caught up with this fast pace world that you end up with flagging energy levels. You want to be ‘full of beans’ and so you might reach out for that bar of chocolate, an energy drink or a Starbuck’s coffee. However, this is only a temporary measure. As soon as you’ve taken your energy booster, you start flagging again, and might have added on a few unnecessary pounds from eating the wrong things.

I have been guilty of this in the past.

However, there are ways to give yourself a natural boost of energy without suffering for it.

Here are 6 ways to naturally give you an energy boost: -

1.Water – Technically not a food but it is very important to raising your energy levels. Often you can be dehydrated and this results in tiredness. Drink lots of water to combat this.

2.Bananas – These are a great pick me up. They contain digested carbohydrates which the body can use for energy and are also fab after a long work out. The body loses a lot of potassium during exercise as a result of sweating. Bananas are rich in potassium and helps to replace what has been lost in exercise.

3.Avoid Crash Food Energy Drinks – These are a big no-no as they are loaded with caffeine and sugar. After you have drunk one of these, it can quickly result in another ‘crash’ and you start craving for another.

4.Cut back on caffeine – It is recognised that Caffeine is a stimulant and too much makes you restless, causes heart palpitations and disturbs your sleep. Not the kind of thing you want for an energy boost.

5.Socialize – Making and meeting up with friends is fun and fills you up with energy.

6.Dark Chocolate – Increases energy by boosting the blood flow to the key areas of the brain for up to 3 hours. The darker the chocolate the better as it contains less sugar.

7.My Favourite - Bee pollen – This has been regularly referred to as a 'Superfood' because it is packed with B vitamins, carbohydrates and amino acids all of which go towards enhancing your stamina. When taken over time, it has been said that Bee Pollen tablets can boost your vitality.

I take these on a regular basis and have noted how it has supported my lifestyle with regards to allergies as well as supporting my need for a natural energy booster.

The Wonders of Bee Pollen!

Posted on June 23, 2017 by Melanie Brown

This is a photo of me enjoying the summer.

Well, what's the big deal some of you may be asking.
Up until a couple of years ago, I used to fear the summer months. Whilst most people enjoyed being out in the sun, I seemed to get the ‘Summer Sniffles’. I would enviously watch as others would enjoy picnics sitting on the grass or playing with their young families.

I on the other hand would experience watery, itchy eyes, a runny nose and constant sneezing. I tried all sorts of prescribed medication, but they never seem to help. Well that’s until recently.

A good friend of mine recommended bee pollen.

I personally noted after starting the tablets, that my typical symptoms seemed to disappear. I usually have to wear my sunglasses to protect my eyes from grass pollen. For the first time in years I could actually leave my glasses off and my eyes were not streaming. Even the sneezing stopped. I couldn’t believe it. Best of all, I didn’t feel as tired and drained. The symptoms often left me feeling exhausted.

So what is bee pollen?

Bee pollen is made by the honeybee and is also the food of young bees. It contains nearly all the nutrients that humans need and is rich in proteins and vitamins.

Bee pollen has numerous advantages but here are my favourite five benefits:-

  1. Energy booster – Because bee pollen is packed with rich nutrients, it is a fantastic natural energy booster which fights off tiredness and boosts your stamina.
  2. It has great soothing qualities - Helps with skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema. The amino acids and vitamins protect the skin and help with cell regeneration.
  3. Looks after the respiratory system – Bee pollen contains a high quantity of antioxidants that have been noted to have a positive effect on the lining of the lungs which means that the onset of asthma is reduced.
  4. Brilliant for dealing with allergies – Research has shown that the pollen seems to reduce the presence of histamine which has meant that some allergies disappear. This confirmed that bee pollen was effective in respect of respiratory diseases.
  5. Aids the Digestive System – Bee pollen contains enzymes which help the body in getting all the nutrients that we need from food that we need.

If you want an allergy free summer, I would definitely recommend Bee Pollen.
