Five Fabulous Uses of Coconut Oil

Posted on August 11, 2018 by Melanie Brown

I love coconut oil and use it as one of the main ingredients in my soaps. It is packed with goodness leaving your skin looking silky, vibrant, and beautifully hydrated.

Here are 5 fabulous uses of coconut oil:

1.It is great for dry skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. Coconut oil reduces inflammation and relieves itching when applied to affected areas.

2.Coconut oil is a wonderful night cream with maximum moisturising benefits. It is rich in anti-oxidants which means that it is great for dealing with fine lines and wrinkles.

3.When coconut oil is combined with sugar, the two make an excellent exfoliant in a body scrub. It sloughs off the dead skin revealing vibrant and healthy skin.

4.Coconut oil is soothing when it comes to burns, insect bites and reduces the appearance of bruises

5.It is a brilliant moisturiser in lip balms helping to deal with chapped lips.

Posted on July 19, 2017 by Melanie Brown

I’m sure you all want to look and feel good, be totally energised throughout the course of your day and to top it all, have fab health. It’s also great when it can be done naturally. This is achievable through ‘Moringa Powder’. It is being referred to as a ‘Superfood’ because it has so many benefits for the body.

Moringa Powder is the dried-out leaves from the Moringa Tree. It has a green appearance and smells rather earthy and a bit like spinach. Here are some of the wonderful components it contains: -
• 25% plant protein including 9 essential amino acids
• Fibre
• A rich source of iron, Vitamin A and K
• Vitamin E, calcium and magnesium
• Anti-oxidants

It can be added to tea, smoothies or quite simply sprinkled onto food.
Here are 5 great benefits of the Moringa Powder: -

1. It reduces tiredness. Iron and magnesium are great for combating tiredness and fatigue. It’s also ideal for vegans and vegetarians and for those who have anaemia.
2. Great looking skin – Moringa Powder is packed with vitamin A and E. Vitamin A is fabulous for radiant looking skin. Vitamin E protects the cells from oxidative stress and so it fights the signs of anti-aging.
3. A wonderful energy booster. Iron and calcium are said to support the energy yielding metabolism. Having a green smoothie with this powder will leave you feeling energised for the day.
4. Moringa Powder contains vitamin A which contributes to normal vision
5. Because of its rich Magnesium content, it’s great for healthy teeth and bones.

You can buy Moringa Powder at your local health store. Why not try it and see the great results you can achieve for yourself.

If you love the ‘natural way’ of life, you will love Bee Pollen. This is another ‘Superfood’ packed with goodness. Even Victoria Beckham has tweeted about her love for the product.
It has been brilliant in allowing me to enjoy the summer so that I am not stuck inside with sneezing fits, a runny nose and itchy eyes. However, Bee Pollen does have other benefits. It’s been said to be good as an antioxidant, fights off inflammation, supports the immune system and is an excellent energy booster.

Can Mother’s Ruin Really Get Rid Of Hayfever?

Posted on July 18, 2017 by Melanie Brown

What do you take to help you with the summer sniffles, otherwise known as dreaded hayfever. There are so many available products on the market but sometimes they do not do the job.

If you are a sufferer, you will know how debilitating it can be. The common signs are a runny nose, streaming eyes, sneezing fits and sinus problems which can lead to headaches. It’s just not fun! You have to avoid the summer barbeque and sit inside with a box of tissues as your companion.

Now research is suggesting that having a gin or vodka can change all these problems!

'Asthma UK' have noted that turning to gin or vodka can curb hayfever symptoms.

People who usually drink beer and cider during the summer months, noticed that their symptoms worsened due to the fermentation process involved in the production of these drinks. There is a high histamine content in alcohols which leave you susceptible to sneezing fits.

On the other hand, Mother’s Ruin, gin, does not contain sulphites which can often provoke asthma and hayfever.

If you are going to have a tipple, remember to do it in moderation. I don’t want you to be holding me as being responsible for drinking too much. Ha ha.

Hey - are you a hayfever sufferer? If yes, I can help you with a product that has been a great help for me this summer. Just PM me through my Facebook Page and I will be happy to tell you more. I will also send you an e-Report on how to Master Hayfever this summer.

What Do You Do To Get Your Energy Boost?

Posted on June 30, 2017 by Melanie Brown

Do you sometimes feel as if you are running around like a headless chicken just to keep up with everyone and everything?

You can get so caught up with this fast pace world that you end up with flagging energy levels. You want to be ‘full of beans’ and so you might reach out for that bar of chocolate, an energy drink or a Starbuck’s coffee. However, this is only a temporary measure. As soon as you’ve taken your energy booster, you start flagging again, and might have added on a few unnecessary pounds from eating the wrong things.

I have been guilty of this in the past.

However, there are ways to give yourself a natural boost of energy without suffering for it.

Here are 6 ways to naturally give you an energy boost: -

1.Water – Technically not a food but it is very important to raising your energy levels. Often you can be dehydrated and this results in tiredness. Drink lots of water to combat this.

2.Bananas – These are a great pick me up. They contain digested carbohydrates which the body can use for energy and are also fab after a long work out. The body loses a lot of potassium during exercise as a result of sweating. Bananas are rich in potassium and helps to replace what has been lost in exercise.

3.Avoid Crash Food Energy Drinks – These are a big no-no as they are loaded with caffeine and sugar. After you have drunk one of these, it can quickly result in another ‘crash’ and you start craving for another.

4.Cut back on caffeine – It is recognised that Caffeine is a stimulant and too much makes you restless, causes heart palpitations and disturbs your sleep. Not the kind of thing you want for an energy boost.

5.Socialize – Making and meeting up with friends is fun and fills you up with energy.

6.Dark Chocolate – Increases energy by boosting the blood flow to the key areas of the brain for up to 3 hours. The darker the chocolate the better as it contains less sugar.

7.My Favourite - Bee pollen – This has been regularly referred to as a 'Superfood' because it is packed with B vitamins, carbohydrates and amino acids all of which go towards enhancing your stamina. When taken over time, it has been said that Bee Pollen tablets can boost your vitality.

I take these on a regular basis and have noted how it has supported my lifestyle with regards to allergies as well as supporting my need for a natural energy booster.

If you want to know more about Bee Pollen, please PM me through my Facebook Page or contact me at melslittleluxuries@btopenworld.com. I will send you an E-report on 10 Ways Master Your Hayfever.
